ExxonMobil: joins natural gas pipeline project in Texas

(CercleFinance.com) - ExxonMobil is joining a 2 billion dollar project to provide increased natural gas production for growing markets along the Texas Gulf Coast.


The oil company has signed a letter of intent to join Kinder Morgan, Blackstone and other partners to support the proposed Permian Highway Pipeline Project (PHP Project) under which it may contract capacity on the pipeline.

The infrastructure is designed to transport up to 2 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas through approximately 430 miles in Texas, with connections to the US Gulf Coast and Mexico markets.

The project is expected to be in service in late 2020.
