eBay: completes acquisition of TCGplayer for $295m

(CercleFinance.com) - eBay has announced that it has completed the acquisition of TCGplayer, a trusted marketplace for trading card game enthusiasts, for a total consideration of 295 million dollars.


By combining eBay's 26 years of experience and commitment with TCGplayer's e-commerce platform, both partners will be able to enhance the overall customer experience, eBay said.

In particular, sellers will be able to create customisable online shops, while with TCGplayer, they will be able to quickly upload, sort and identify large catalogues.

By partnering with TCGplayer, eBay has even more ways to connect hobby enthusiasts and physical sellers with passionate collectors around the world, eBay said.
