eBay: quarterly adjusted EPS up 31%

(CercleFinance.com) - Last night eBay reported Q4 2020 revenues of 2.
9 billion dollars, up 28% y-o-y.

At the same time, the volume of goods traded through the site reached 26.6 billion dollars, up 21% (or +18% at constant exchange rates).

Also in the fourth quarter, eBay reported adjusted net profit of 600 million dollars, up 12%, meaning adjusted EPS of 0.86 dollar (+31%), above the consensus.

Full-year revenue came in at 10.3 billion dollars, up 19% (or +20% at constant exchange rates). FY adjusted net profit reached 1.95 billion dollars (+25%), meaning adjusted annual EPS of 2.29 dollars (+49%).

The online marketplace expects sales of 2.94-2.99 billion dollars in Q1 2021, representing adjusted EPS of 1.03-1.08 dollar.

After closing up over 1% yesterday, the share is soaring in pre-market trading (+9.5%) on Thursday.
