Walt Disney: Q3 EPS up 36%

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday evening Walt Disney reported EPS from continuing operations, adjusted for special items, that is up 36% at 1.
09 dollar for Q3 2021-22, as well as segment operating income that is up 50% at 3.57 billion dollars.

The media and entertainment giant's revenues rose 26% to 21.5 billion dollars, with particular strength at its parks, experiences and products business, which grew 70%, primarily driven by its theme parks in the US.

In addition to the outstanding performance in domestic theme parks, management underlined strong growth in live sports attendance and significant growth in the number of subscribers to streaming services.

With 14.4 million Disney+ subscribers added in Q3, the group says that it now has a total subscription base of 221 million across all its streaming offerings.
