Citigroup: 24% decline in EPS for 3rd quarter

5 billion for the 3rd quarter, up 6% compared to the same period one year previously.

At the same time, quarterly EBIT comes out at $4.4 billion (-25%) and net profits come to $3.5 billion, also down 25%;

EPS comes to $1.63 billion, down 24%.

“Given the strength of our balance sheet, capital levels and liquidity, we are well positioned to help our clients navigate very challenging markets and slower growth”, says Jane Fraser, CEO of Citigroup.
