Broadcom: Q3 above expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday evening, Broadcom unveiled adjusted non-GAAP EPS of 4.
98 dollars for its third quarter, up 21% y-o-y, while the consensus was expecting 15 cents less.

Still in adjusted data, the supplier of semiconductor components - which has been domiciled in the US since last April - improved its gross margin by 3.5 points to 51.7%, for sales growth of 13% to nearly 5.1 billion dollars.

Data center demand has boosted strong growth in over half of our revenue, said CEO Hock Tan, who also mentioned share repurchases amounting to 5.4 billion dollars over the quarter.
