Boeing: wins order from Korean low-cost carrier for 737 MAX
(CercleFinance.com) - Boeing has won an order for up to fifty 737 MAX passenger jets from Korean low-cost carrier Jeju Air, in a deal worth up to 5.
9 billion dollars at list prices.
Jeju is ordering forty 737 MAX 8 airplanes, with options for ten additional jets, the US plan maker said, reflecting "rising demand" for air travel in South Korea.
The airline is currently flying a fleet of nearly 40 next-generation 737-800s.
Jeju Air serves 60 domestic and international routes, with approximately 200 daily flights.
