Blackstone: EU clears joint acquisition

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of joint control of Advarra Holdings, by Blackstone and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments).


Advarra provides ethics review services and technology solutions to biopharmaceutical companies, contract research organisations and clinical trial sites, while Blackstone is a global alternative asset manager.

CPP Investments manages funds transferred to it by the Canada Pension Plan and invests primarily in public and private equities, real estate, infrastructure and fixed income.
