Best Buy: Q4 EPS above expectations

(CercleFinance.com) - Best Buy reports Q4 adjusted EPS that is up 12% at 2.
72 dollars, 15 cents above the consensus, with an adjusted operating margin that is up 0.3 point at 6.7%.

At 14.8 billion dollars, the consumer electronics chain's sales increased by 3%, with the US making an increasing contribution in terms of Internet sales, which represented 21.9% of domestic sales, compared to 20% a year ago.

Reporting adjusted EPS of 5.32 dollars over the past year, hence exceeding its target range of 5.09 dollars-5.19 dollars, as provided three months ago, Best Buy targets between FY EPS of 5.45 dollars and 5.65 dollars for the current year and is raising its quarterly dividend by 11% to 50 cents per share.
