AutoZone: Q1 EPS up 30%
(CercleFinance.com) - AutoZone has reported net income that is up 26.
3% to 442.4 million dollars for the first three months of its 2020-21 fiscal year, or 18.61 dollars per share (+30.1%), while its operating profit is up 23% at 615.2 million dollars.
The automotive equipment distributor saw its revenues increase by 12.9% to 3.2 billion dollars (up 12.3% like-for-like and in the United States alone), although its gross margin contracted by 0.6 point to 53.1%, mainly due to costs related to the pandemic.
The share is down 2% in early trading on Wall Street.
