AutoZone: Q3 EPS down 10%
(CercleFinance.com) - AutoZone, a distributor of automotive equipment, has posted Q3 2019-20 (period ended 9 May) net income that is down 15.
5% at 342.9 million dollars, representing EPS that is down 10% at 14.39 dollars
The group, which is based in Memphis (Tennessee) saw its operating profit drop by 10.2% to 491.7 million dollars, while sales were pretty flat (-0.1%) to 2.8 billion dollars, having been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic at the end of the period.
"Because of this extreme volatility and uncertainty around the continued effects of the virus and government and consumer responses, it is difficult for us to forecast short-term results with any degree of confidence," said Chairman and CEO Bill Rhodes.
