American Express: raises quarterly dividend increased by 20%

(CercleFinance.com) - On Thursday American Express announced a 20% increase in its quarterly dividend, from 43 to 52 cents per common share.


In a brief statement, the US credit card giant said that it will be paid on 10 May to shareholders on record on 8 April.

In spite of the announcement, Amex shares opened down about 2% on Thursday in New York.
