Amazon: EPS outstrips consensus twofold in Q2

(CercleFinance.com) - The American e-commerce giant has reported a strong hike in net profits for the second quarter, from 197 million dollars as at 30 June 2017, or 40 cents per share, to 2,534 million for the same date this year, or 5.
07 dollars.

This is more than double analyst consensus, which aimed for earnings per share of 2.49 dollars!

Turnover also jumped 39% compared to the second quarter of 2017, reaching close to 53 billion dollars, compared to 38 billion a year earlier.

Amazon announces that it is aiming for turnover of between 54 and 57.5 billion dollars for the quarter underway.
