Altria: Q2 EPS up over 2%

(CercleFinance.com) - The cigarette maker Altria has reported adjusted diluted EPS that is up 2.
4% to 1.26 dollar for Q2, due to a decrease in the number of shares in issue, on net revenues that are down 5.7% at 6.5 billion dollars.

The group attributed the contraction mainly to lower tobacco revenues and the sale of its wine business in October 2021. Net of excise taxes, its revenues fell by 4.3% to 5.4 billion dollars.

Altria confirms its FY 2022 adjusted EPS range of 4.79 to 4.93 dollars, which represents a growth rate of 4%-7% relative to the 2021 adjusted base.
