Altice USA: BC Partners, Canada Pension Plan sell shares

(CercleFinance.com) - Private equity firm BC Partners and Canada Pension Plan has sold approximately one third of their stake in Altice USA, the company said late on Thursday.


After the market closed yesterday, funds advised by BC Partners and CPPIB had sold 34 million A shares, the telecoms group said.

As a reminder, the Altice USA stock has risen by over 32% year-to-date, in particular helped by solid 2018 results.

Altice USA said it has decided to buy approximately 7 million of these shares, for a total of 150 million shares.

Following these transactions, BCP and CPPIB together own approximately 10.5% of Altice USA, the firm said.
