Tele2: names new technology and IT chief

(CercleFinance.com) - Tele2 has named Yogesh Malik as its new chief technology and IT officer, replacing two executives who previously led the tech and IT units respectively.


Malik, who has about 15 years' experience in the technology industry, will start immediately, leading the new combined business, the Swedish telecom operator said in a statement.

The executive has held senior roles in multinational companies, including CTO at Amsterdam-based mobile phone operator VEON, and CEO at Telenor India. He also served at the board of GSMA, the mobile network operators association.

Tele2 also announced on Tuesday that Stefan Trampus has been named to lead its Swedish B2B unit, at a time when the Swedish B2B market is facing challenges.
