Alfa Laval: results and orders welcomed by market

(CercleFinance.com) - Shares of the Swedish engineering group Alfa Laval are up in Stockholm on Wednesday after the company announced a "record" order intake for Q2.


This morning the heat exchange and fluid transfer specialist announced orders that rose by 10% in Q2, reaching 14.4 billion Swedish kronor (about 1.4 billion euros), above the consensus of 12.9 billion Swedish kronor.

Meanwhile, adjusted Ebitda reached 1.96 billion Swedish kronor, compared with 1.74 billion Swedish kronor a year earlier, albeit slightly short of the consensus of 1.84 billion Swedish kronor.

Alfa Laval, whose products are used in both the food and shipbuilding industries, said that its sales rose 10% to 11.85 billion Swedish kronor against 11.5 billion Swedish kronor expected by analysts.
