Telia: Turkcell shareholders approve dividend proposal

(CercleFinance.com) - As expected, Turkcell's shareholders have adopted resolutions to distribute dividends for the fiscal year 2018, in line with the proposal from its board of directors.


In all, Turkcell will pay dividends amounting to 1 billion Turkish lira (about 170 million euros), of which Telia's share will be 243 million (around 38 million euros).

Telia and the other shareholders in Turkcell yesterday agreed to vote in favour of the dividend proposal submitted by Turkcell's board.

The proposal was hence expected to be approved.

Telia is Turkcell's largest shareholder, with a 24% indirect shareholding.
