Electrolux: issues first-ever green bond

(CercleFinance.com) - Electrolux is raising 1 billion Swedish kronor (about 100 million euros) by issuing a green bond to finance projects with environmental benefits, the Swedish household appliance maker said on Monday.


The bond is being issued under the group's existing "Euro Medium Term Note" program and its recently launched green bond framework designed to fund "green assets," it said.

This may include R&D investments to improve the energy or water efficiency of its products, the development of recycled materials, or the installation of solar panels, it said.

The loan matures in 2024 and has an annual coupon of 1.103%. It will be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange.
