Carnival: no carnival as cruises halted until end-September

(CercleFinance.com) - Carnival Cruise Line, the maritime subsidiary of Carnival, has announced an extension of its operational pause in North America until 30 September, thereby cancelling all remaining scheduled cruises until that date.


The cruise line operator says that it interrupted its activities on 13 March, for an initial period of 30 days, which was then extended three times, due to the public health crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Carnival adds that it is currently repatriating nearly 29,000 crew members serving on its fleet of 27 ships to over 100 countries where they are from.
