Equinor: towards a consultative vote on transition plan

(CercleFinance.com) - Equinor announced today that as from 2022, the energy transition plan will be submitted to a consultative vote of shareholders at its AGM.


The plan will be submitted to a consultative vote of shareholders every three years, while its progress will be reported annually, the company announced.

While sustainability has been an integral part of Equinor's strategy and business model for decades, the energy transition plan will give shareholders an even more comprehensive view of progress and actual performance, said Jon Erik Reinhardsen, chairman of Equinor's board of directors.
