Equinor: wins bid for New York offshore wind farm
(CercleFinance.com) - Norwegian oil firm Equinor has won a bid to build an offshore wind farm in New York State, the company said on Thursday.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo yesterday announced Equinor as a winner in the State's first large-scale competitive offshore wind solicitation. The 816-megawatt offshore wind project, which is expected to be developed with 60-80 wind turbines, will bring renewable energy to over 500,000 homes in New York.
