Equinor: sale of King Lear gas field to Aker BP now complete

(CercleFinance.com) - Aker BP has struck the deal with Equinor giving it the control of operations at an gas field that was discovered on the Norwegian continental shelf, the company said on Monday.


The Norwegian oil firm said it has completed the acquisition of 77.8 percent and operatorship of the King Lear project for 250 million dollars in cash.

All closing conditions have been fulfilled, and the closing of the transaction has now taken place, it said.
