Technip Energies: FEED contract for wind power in Korea

(CercleFinance.com) - Technip Energies, in consortium with Subsea 7 and Samkang M&T, has been awarded a front-end engineering design (FEED) contract by Corio Generation and TotalEnergies for the Ulsan Gray Whale 3 offshore wind farm project in South Korea.


The FEED contract covers the engineering of the float, mooring and cabling (IAC) in collaboration with a turbine manufacturer. Technip Energies' INO15 float technology will be integrated into the design of the floating foundation.

The Gray Whale 3 project, which aims to develop a 504 MW floating wind farm, is one of three offshore wind projects that Corio Generation and TotalEnergies are developing off the coast of Ulsan with a total installed capacity of 1.5 gigawatts.
