Technip Energies: awarded feasibility study contract

(CercleFinance.com) - Technip Energies has been awarded a feasibility study contract by Viridian Lithium for the construction of Europe's first lithium refining and conversion plant, in Lauterbourg, France.


The site will produce up to 100,000 tonnes of lithium-based battery chemicals - enough to power two million electric vehicles - to enable a secure and sustainable battery supply chain.

In addition to the feasibility study, the contract includes a preferential right to build the plant and its three planned extensions. It said that he project will increase the autonomy of the supply chain of the electric vehicle industry.
