Vopak: acquires Dow terminals in JV

(CercleFinance.com) - Vopak announces that its new 50-50 joint venture with a BlackRock fund has been chosen by chemist Dow to purchase three major industrial terminals on the US Gulf Coast for 620 million dollars.


Called Vopak Industrial Infrastructure Americas, this joint venture will have assets in close proximity to Dow's production complexes and will enter into long-term agreements with Dow for storage and infrastructure services.

Located in Freeport (Texas), Saint-Charles and Plaquemine (Louisiana), these three terminals together represent a capacity of 852,000 m3. The transaction is expected to close before the end of this year, subject to customary conditions.
