Boskalis: posts H1 loss due to extraordinary costs
(CercleFinance.com) - Boskalis Westminster has reported a net loss of 96.
4 million euros for the first six months of 2020, compared with a profit of 1.3 million euros a year ago, weighed on by exceptional charges related to the health crisis and the fall in oil prices.
However, the Dutch maritime infrastructure specialist saw its EBITDA increase by half to 204.1 million euros, with revenues remaining pretty flat at 1.26 billion euros, while its order book remained stable at 4.7 billion euros.
Stressing that no major projects in its order book have been cancelled since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Boskalis expects its FY 2020 EBITDA to reach the 2019 level, and says that it will resume its share repurchase program.
