Gemalto: acceptance period extended

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales today announces that it has decided to extend the period of acceptance of its bid for Gemalto until 17:40 CET on 15 August, and will confirm the finalisation of this acquisition in the second half of 2018.


It explained that the suspensive conditions necessary for the completion of the offer - in particular those relating to regulatory authorisations - would not be fulfilled until the initial acceptance period expires on 6 June.

In accordance with the offer document, the high tech group is seeking an exemption from the Dutch financial Markets Authority in order to extend the acceptance period beyond 15 August.
