Aegon: Credit Suisse raises target price

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Suisse reinstates its "outperform" rating on the Dutch insurer Aegon shares, having nudged up its target price for them to 5.
80 euros (from 5.60 euros), saying that it is 10% above the latest consensus in terms of expected operating capital generation for 2023.

"Furthermore, we believe any Variable Annuity portfolio transaction should create further capital return optionality whilst also reducing the group's exposure to a unit that has been a significant drag on valuation," the broker adds.
