Airbus: Stifel reduces target price

(CercleFinance.com) - Stifel maintains its Buy rating on Airbus shares, while trimming its target price for them to 150 euros (-3% from 155 euros).

Analysts are reducing their FY22 EPS estimate (-6%), followed by -3% for FY23, while maintaining that for FY24 unchanged, so as to match forecasts for FY22 and comments on the A320 production rate. They still consider Airbus an attractive name for investors.

The broker notes that the company has reiterated its production rate schedule for the A320 family, along with its FY22 forecast, despite recent investor scepticism.

All said, Stifel continues to see significant upside potential for consensus EPS and greater confidence in the delivery outlook to support the expansion of its trading multiple.

The share is up a whisker (+0.3%), pretty much in line with the market in late morning trading today.
