Airbus: Sentinel-6B satellite enters test phase

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus has announced the completion of Sentinel-6B, the second ocean monitoring satellite of the European Copernicus program.


Airbus will now test it extensively over the next six months in preparation for its space life.

Sentinel-6A and 6B are built to measure sea surface distance, record sea level changes and analyse and study ocean currents.

Sentinel-6 is also the result of an international collaboration between ESA, NASA, NOAA and Eumetsat.
