Airbus: Switzerland set to buy Eurofighters

(CercleFinance.com) - Late on Wednesday Airbus and Germany submitted to the Swiss Federal Office for Public Defence Procurement (Armasuisse) their official offer for the sale of Eurofighter combat aircraft.


Through this acquisition, Germany offers Switzerland the opportunity to deepen their military partnership, in particular regarding the joint training of both air forces.

With the Eurofighter, Switzerland will have full autonomy in the use, maintenance and application of aircraft data.

With over 660 orders, the Eurofighter is by far the most used aircraft for airspace control in Europe. It is also jointly operated by four partner countries, Germany, the UK, Italy and Spain.
