STMicro: collaborating with IME of Singapore in SIC

(CercleFinance.com) - STMicroelectronics announces the start of an R&D collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Microelectronics (IME) in silicon carbide (SiC) for power electronics applications in the automotive and industrial markets.


They aim to develop and optimise SiC integrated components and power modules to significantly increase the performance of next generation power electronics circuits.

This collaboration paves the way for a comprehensive SiC technology ecosystem in Singapore, and creates opportunities for other companies to undertake SiC research activities with the IME and ST.
