STMicro: over one billion ToF modules sold

(CercleFinance.com) - STMicroelectronics announces on Tuesday that it has surpassed the threshold of one billion Time-of-Flight (ToF) modules sold worldwide, enabling distance detection by laser telemetry, thereby confirming its leading position on the market for miniature laser telemetry solutions.


ToF miniature sensors use utra-high-speed photon detection technology and are manufactured on 300 mm silicon wafers at ST Crolles, near Grenoble. The final module is assembled and tested at its own back-end factories.
