Philips: launches tablet for remote patient monitoring

(CercleFinance.com) - Philips jumped into the tablet market on Monday, launching a portable kit designed to help doctors remotely monitor a large number of patients during emergency situations, such as the Covid-19 pandemic.


The medical tablet integrates Philips' software for remote access of patient monitoring information, allowing clinicians to care for patients outside of the hospital, the Dutch health technology said.

As the device is not tied to a central monitoring station and can therefore be operated through a WiFi connection, it is easy to deploy in existing clinical workflows, Philips said in a statement
