Philips: FDA grants emergency-use status for new monitors
(CercleFinance.com) - The Food and Drug Administration has authorized the emergency use of Philips' new acute care patient monitoring systems for hospitals during the Covid-19 health emergency.
This equipment supports infection-control protocols and remotely provides critical patient information for caregivers, capabilities that are sought when caring for hospitalized coronavirus patients.
Philips' IntelliVue Patient Monitors MX750/MX850 and IntelliVue Active Displays AD75/AD85 received the CE mark in 2019 and are already being used in hospitals across Europe.
