Unilever: sells 1.2 billion euro bonds on European markets
(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer goods giant Unilever is raising over 1.
2 billion euros through two bond issues made on the European capital markets, the company said on Tuesday.
Yesterday the Anglo-Dutch company priced 650 million euros of 1.5% fixed rate notes due in 2039, and 500 million pounds (about 560 million euros) of 1.5% fixed rate notes due in 2026.
Unilever said it intends to use the proceeds for "general corporate purposes."
