Unilever: makes binding offer for French cosmetics brand

(CercleFinance.com) - Consumer goods giant Unilever on Wednesday said that it has made a binding offer to acquire the French derma-cosmetic brand Garancia, but did not disclose the terms of the deal.


Founded in 2004 by pharmacist Savéria Coste, Garancia sells a line of 38 premium facial and body skincare products that are predominantly sold through retail chemists in France, as well as in selective retail networks.

The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter, Unilever said.
