Heineken: EU authorises joint control of Stockday

(CercleFinance.com) - The European Commission has cleared the acquisition of joint control of Stockday by Coca-Cola HBC Romania and Heineken Romania.


Currently, Stockday is controlled by Heineken Romania alone. Stockday is a B2B online platform that currently distributes Heineken Romania beers and ciders to retail and Horeca customers in Romania.

The Commission concluded that the proposed acquisition would not raise any competition concerns, given that the vertical links between the activities of CCH Romania and Stockday are not likely to create a foreclosure risk for CCH's wholesale distributors Romania intended for retail sale and for customers in the hotel, restaurant and community sector in Romania.
