Heineken: issues 1.25 billion euro bond

25 billion euros in two bond issues on Tuesday, to help finance projects and to refinance its debt, the Dutch brewer said.

The company has successfully placed 600 million euros of 8.5-year notes with a coupon of 1.25% and 650 million euros of 12.5-year notes with a coupon of 1.75%, it said.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include debt repayment and/or acquisitions, Heineken said.

The bonds will mature in March 2027 and March 2031.
