KPN: reaches targets set for FY 2022

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday KPN, the leading Dutch telecom operator, announced that it has achieved its targets for 2022, generating FY operating profit that is up over 2%.


This morning the company reported an adjusted Ebitda"AL" - a key measure of the sector - of 2.4 billion euros for the past financial year, against 2.3 billion euros in 2021.

In Q4 alone, Ebitda"AL" stood at 598 million euros, again up 2% from the 584 million recorded the previous year.

Quarterly relative edged up to 1.37 billion euros, against 1.36 billion euros in 2021, +0.5%.

For 2023, KPN says it is targeting an higher adjusted EbitdaAL of around 2.41 billion euros, as well as share buybacks totaling 300 million euros.

The share, which is listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, rose by 1.7% on Tuesday morning following all these announcements.
