Degiro: sharp rise in transactions in Q1 2020

(CercleFinance.com) - Online broker Degiro announced on Monday that it gained a lot of new customers over the first quarter of 2020, which totalled 137,023 new accounts over the first three months of the year.


In detail, Degiro added about 51,000 new accounts over January-February, alongside another 86,000 new accounts in March. These new accounts brought the total number of active accounts at the end of the quarter to 554,471, against 386,000 at the same time in 2019.

Meanwhile, transaction numbers more than doubled to around 10.8 million transactions in Q1 2020, against 4.6 million a year ago.
