ArcelorMittal: launches a sustainability program

(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal announces that it plans to launch a new 12-month sustainability program to secure the "ResponsibleSteel" site certification for all its flat product sites in Europe.


This program will enable each site to prove that production processes rigorously meet standards set across a wide range of social, environmental and governance criteria, the steel giant said.

The first wave of audits includes sites in Belgium, Germany, Spain and France, with others to follow. After the initial phase, other ArcelorMittal sites around the world will be integrated into the program.
