ArcelorMittal: offers to make divestments for Ilva takeover

(CercleFinance.com) - ArcelorMittal has announced that as part of the European Commission's review of the acquisition of Ilva, it has submitted a set of disposals to meet Brussels' demands.


Amongst the assets concerned by the proposed divestments are mainly the sites of Piombino (Italy), Galati (Romania), Skopje (Macedonia), Ostrava (Czech Republic) and Dudelange (Luxembourg).

Any divestment would be subject to a final review and the finalisation of the Ilva acquisition by the steel giant, which expects the European Commission to make its final decision on the matter on 23 May.
