SES: selected by Andesat in Chile and Peru

(CercleFinance.com) - SES announced on Tuesday that it has been selected by the local operator Andesat to provide satellite connectivity services in Chile and Peru.


In Chile, Andesat plans to leverage the resources offered by the SES-14 satellite to provide network connectivity to companies in the fishing and mining sectors in the most remote areas of the country.

In Peru, Andesat will be able to offer broadband services, both voice and internet, to some 280 hard-to-reach locations by the end of the year.

SES explains that Andesat has been selected by the Peruvian government as part of a socially driven project to roll out mobile phone services to rural communities that previously had no coverage.
