RTL Group: Moody's affirms 'Baa1' credit rating

(CercleFinance.com) - Ratings agency Moody's on Wednesday maintained its "Baa1" credit rating for RTL Group, praising the European broadcaster's diversification into content production, online and digital segments, as well as its strong free cash flow generation.


Moody's cited the group's conservative financial profile and low leverage, but also noted that the rating remains "constrained" by its high exposure to TV and radio advertising spend, investments in high-growth businesses, and structural challenges affecting broadcasters.

The rating agency also maintains its "stable" outlook on RTL and said that it expects that the company will be able to modestly grow its revenue and profit over the medium term.
