WPP: Kantar unit to partner with Alibaba in China

(CercleFinance.com) - WPP's Kantar is to join forces with China's e-commerce giant Alibaba to create a platform that will help chief marketing officers measure and optimise their marketing activities in China.


The platform will offer real-time brand measurement tools, campaign impact measurement, using Kantar's advanced analytics to target an audience of around 600 million active mobile consumers across China.

While huge, the Chinese market is one of the most difficult, yet rewarding places in the world to do business, said Kantar's CEO Eric Salama.

WPP also announced on Wednesday the start of a secondary offering of shares of digital customer experience Globant, in which it has decided to sell its remaining stake of 18.7%.
