Campari: in exclusive talks to buy two French rhums

(CercleFinance.com) - Campari is in talks to acquire the French rhums Trois Rivières and La Mauny, the Italian group said on Monday.


Campari has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire Rhumantilles, the owner of 96.5% of the Martinique-based company Bellonnie & Bourdillon, which owns both strategic premium brands, as well as Duquesne, a brand intended for the local market.

They had combined sales of 24 million euros in 2018.

The move comes as France is poised to become one of Campari's strategic markets.

Thanks to this acquisition, Campari has the opportunity to reach critical mass in the French market, it added.
