Campari: takes over a Cognac house

(CercleFinance.com) - Campari has announced an agreement to acquire Bisquit Dubouché et Cie, the owner of cognac producer Bisquit Cognac, from the South African Distell Group, for an enterprise value of 52.
5 million euros.

The acquired business includes inventories, and in particular aging inventories worth around 33 million euros, commercial brands and production sites (warehouses, blending cellars, bottling plants).

The acquisition of this Cognac-based house by the Italian wine and spirits group is scheduled for the first quarter of 2018. The Bisquit Cognac brand is expected to generate pro-forma sales of around nine million euros in 2018.
