Leonardo: stock soars after results

(CercleFinance.com) - The share of the Italian aeronautics and defense group Leonardo is soaring almost 10% today in Milan after the group published results that outpaced expectations and gave optimistic forecasts.


2018 sales rose by 5% to 12.4 billion euros, while EBITA increased 5.2% to 1.13 billion euros. Earnings soared by 83% to 510 million euros, helped by extraordinary items. The group will offer to maintain its dividend at 0.14 euro.

After an order intake of 15.3 billion euros (+32%), its order backlog reached a record of 36.1 billion euros.
